Students performing at the assemblyNutrition Rocks!

That is the message behind a recent assembly featuring the rock and roll nutrition show Jump with Jill.

Roberts was among 35 statewide that received the assembly free through the Michigan’s Dairy Farmers in partnership with the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM). The show promotes the development of healthy habits for students, including the importance of dairy, fruits and vegetables and exercise.

In engaging directly with schools, Jump with Jill endorses Michigan dairy with the Emmy-nominated song about breakfast Get Me Goin’ and the show closer, The Bone Rap. The production of these music videos also features Michigan dairy farmers.

A milk jug affectionately called by his rapper name, Calcium, performed to UCS students with his whole bone building crew – yogurt and cheese.

The set of the show featured campaign signage, the cast travels in a vehicle designed like a delicious glass of Michigan-produced milk, and a custom-designed Milk Crate filled with educational materials for schools to continue the show’s messages all year long.

The Milk Means More Jump with Jill Milk Crate provides school cafeterias with life-sized posters and dairy cooler magnets, a DVD of the danceable music videos, and an Action Pack to bring the moves from the live show into the classroom.
